Beyond Lockdowns: Training for Real-World Survival

Modern Threats Require Modern Solutions

At Pugh Self-Protection & Combatives, our Active Shooter Response Training goes far beyond traditional lockdown drills and outdated strategies. We equip individuals, educators, and organizations with our **proprietary** protocols: **Ch.A.D.** (CHarge & Attack, while Distracting, if possible) and **S.O.S.** (Seek safe area, while remaining Out-of-sight, but within reach, & Strategically attack any threats). These represent superior alternatives to generic approaches like Run-Hide-Fight, ALICE, and ADD.

Why? Because real-world threats demand adaptable, principle-based skills—not checklists. Our training is grounded in human performance, tactical logic, and survivability—not fear.

  • A person in tactical gear is pushed against a doorway by another person in a building hallway.

A Life Skill, Not Just a Drill

The skills, concepts, and tactics we teach are relevant to all self-protection scenarios—from active shooter events to assaults, abductions, and non-firearm threats. We don’t just teach you how to survive one situation. We teach you how to live prepared, every day.
